Getting started

Open Handleshare and fill in your card: name, title, links, photo — whatever you want to hand people. Tap Share to show your QR code; anyone can scan it with their iPhone camera, no app required on their end.

Sharing your Wi-Fi

Add your network name and password to your card, then show the Wi-Fi QR code. Guests scan it with their camera and join your network directly. Only share networks you're authorized to give access to.

Scanning a paper business card

Use the in-app scanner and point the camera at the card. Handleshare reads the details and offers to save them to your Contacts — it will ask for Contacts permission the first time.

The camera or scanner isn't working

• Check that Handleshare has camera access: Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera → Handleshare.
• Make sure there's enough light and the QR code or card fills the frame.

My cards aren't syncing across devices

Cards sync through your private iCloud. Make sure both devices are signed in to the same Apple Account with iCloud enabled for Handleshare (Settings → your name → iCloud → Saved to iCloud). Sync happens in the background shortly after you make changes and are online.

Attachments

You can attach files (PDFs, images, documents) to your card from Files, the camera, or your photo library, and choose which ones go out with each share or email. Large files sent by email use Apple's Mail Drop automatically.

Backing up and restoring

Open the profile switcher and tap the document icon to reach Backups. Back Up Now writes a single file holding every profile, attachment, scan and photo; share it to your Mac to keep a copy off the phone. To put one back, tap Restore next to it. Restoring is additive — profiles already on your iPhone are left alone, and anything missing is added back.

Backups also appear in Files under On My iPhone → Handleshare → Backups. Anyone who can open that file can read everything in it, so store it somewhere you trust.

Deleting your data

Delete any profile from within the app to remove it from your device and your iCloud. Deleting the app removes all local data; data in your private iCloud can be managed from iOS Settings → your name → iCloud.
